Our work · Training

Training today’s green leaders for tomorrow.

Biodiversity science, advocacy, leadership: GYBN DRC equips young Congolese people with the knowledge and confidence to take action and influence decision-making.
Our belief

Passion isn’t always enough. A well-educated young man becomes a researcher, a negotiator or a practitioner in the field who is, in turn, to inspire his entire community.

What we pass on

Three areas of knowledge to bring about change

Science

Biodiversity and ecological monitoring

Understanding Congolese ecosystems and mastering modern tools: inventories, GIS, bioacoustics, digital data collection.
Advocacy

Negotiation and policies

Understanding the Convention on Biological Diversity, crafting clear messages and making our voice heard in consultations.
Leadership

Mobilise and represent

Coordinate initiatives, bring other young people together and represent their community with confidence.
