Our mission · To mobilise

Mobilising an entire generation in support of biodiversity.

To raise awareness amongst young people of the importance of biodiversity and bring them together to build a committed Congolese youth movement and a national coalition capable of helping to halt biodiversity loss.
Why get involved?

Across the DRC, young people are already taking action to protect nature. Our role: link them, to raise their profile and promote their initiatives a collective force.

How we get involved

Campaigns

National campaigns

Since 2019

A movement that began in Kisangani

  • ✓2019 · Establishment and launch of the network in Kisangani, conferences and initial activities on the ground.
  • ✓2019-2020 · Taking part in the EarthDay 50 campaign.
  • ✓2021 · Biodiversity Week in Kinshasa with the African Wildlife Foundation.
  • ✓2026 · National consultation: more than 5,000 young people from all the provinces shared their views.
Inclusion

A campaign for everyone

We want a network that reflects Congolese youth in all their diversity. Our aim: 40 % young women and 20 % young people from local communities and indigenous peoples among our members.

We also pay particular attention to young people living around protected areas, who are the custodians of traditional knowledge that is invaluable for conservation.
